Our Story

The STPR, Inc. proudly hosts the annual Stanley Rodeo, a beloved tradition taking place each Father's Day weekend. Originating in the Fall of 2003, the Stanley Rodeo was born from a collaboration between the Stanley FFA Alumni and the Stanley Chamber of Commerce, aiming to bring a significant event to the heart of the Stanley Community.

Working in partnership with the PRCA and their sponsored Stock Contractor, Three Hills Rodeo Co, the STPR, Inc. successfully brought the excitement of professional rodeo to our small town. Every year, skilled cowboys from across the nation gather at the Stanley Rodeo, vying for the chance to qualify for the prestigious National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, NV. As of 2022, we proudly operate as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.

Through the dedication of local non-profit volunteers, the STPR, Inc. has made meaningful contributions to the Stanley community. A portion of the proceeds directly supports the City of Stanley Parks and Recreation, contributing to vital park improvements. The success of the Stanley Rodeo has enabled other local groups to give back to the community in various impactful ways.

Our Rodeo Committee, comprised of hardworking locals, is actively planning this year's performances. In addition to the two PRCA performances, we offer a weekend filled with exciting events, including free live music on Friday and Saturday nights, Pedal Tractor Pull, and Horse Pull.

The year 2022 marked our transition into a non-profit 501(c)3, a testament to our commitment to community service. The Rodeo Committee, fueled by the dedication of local volunteers, extends gratitude to our valued local sponsors. Whether through monetary donations, participation in workdays, or investing time in upgrading our grounds, our sponsors play a crucial role in making each year's Stanley Rodeo a success. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to enhance and improve our event year after year, with the continued support of our community and sponsors.
